-------------------------
It's great to be back on Deviant Art! I had a little bit of an art slump lately where I didn't like anything I was drawing, ( says I was just being to picky) but anyway, I was finally happy enough with this pic to scan and color it. By accident really, I put one of the layers on lighten, which let me do the cool (in my opinion ^^) red lighting effect. (which is coming from those red gaps in his armor)

I've actually been drawing these guys for a little bit, but I just never posted any. Some of the others are a lot more threatening than this guy!

Please tell me what you think, I'm eager to hear from everyone again ^^

PS: If I haven't responded to one of your comments on one of my other pieces I'll get back to you soon ^^ I haven't been on DevArt much lately (curse you Creative Writing class!) My apologies.

Drawn in #2 pencil
Colored in Adobe Photoshop CS

Clad in unkown metals and weilding immense powers, the Angels are one of the greatest mysteries to mankind. Their tactics are ruthless, their destructive force unmatched, and motives often contorted and blurred. Some are hell-bent on killing one person while others seem to have gone completely insane. Could these truly be the souls of the people who made it into heaven? Or are they something else entirely, as monstrous on the inside as they are on the outside?

Most of the Angels wield humongous bladed weapons or even, in some cases, immense cannons. The blades and bullets of these weapons are able to pierce even the toughest substances, and when held in the hands of humans, turn to dust.

Lovely, just... lovely.

I know what it feels to be in an art slump as well. Let me tell you. Where do you think I've dissapeared to?

But enough about me, this is your project.

Wich is strange, because I've been working on something similiar lately, but not exactly like yours. You'll see eventually. Your work is good, and shows a difference to your usual dark, macabre style, I like artists who can break away from the norm sometimes. The piece in question, I don't find fault with as the lines are constantly and consitently rendered well.

Your work is truely moving at an awesome pace, and I wanna know your secret man.
